Chandeliers are 15” high
Not sure how to describe light output/shadows. It is a drum shaped chandelier.
We will also have recessed lighting in kitchen and sconces flanking sink on wall perpendicular to island
Nothing on island below
Area behind is open to family room
Will not block a focal point (fireplace is behind but pretty far behind)

Wouldn’t the island size depend more on the total area of the kitchen?

Another thought we had was doing a semi flush mount because of low ceilings. Still deciding how I feel about that.

(Meaning 2-3 semi flush mounts over island)

Creative Cabinets: thank you! I understand. Our home is over 3000 sq ft and the kitchen is open to the family room. It is a big area.

Also ceilings in back of family room and back of kitchen are vaulted….just not over island :(

2chandeliers over 10 x4 island with 8 foot ceilings. It can be done!
