Anything is possible with money. Options from least to priciest: repaint shutters black or dark gray and trim to a creamier white; add in replacing just the door with a more appropriate style; lime wash or paint brick; remove arched window as Hallett suggested, add portico, new door, paint everything.

I know the window is massive… but it’s relatively new and doubt it’s in the budget to remove. I was hoping it would stand out less when the bold white trim around the window was no longer contrasting with the brick color with painted brick.

Removing or repainting/ replacing the shutters will go a long ways. That color is doing the house no favors.

But any serious attempt to improve the look requires replacing/ removing that huge arched window. Changing the trim color will help a tiny bit but it is front & center too big/ too awful. It is dominating the front of the house, squashing the door & sidelights...which should be the center of interest.

But you are talking about painting the brick...DIY? Adding a portico...DIY? Either/ both are major expenditures even if you DIY. I would reprioritize. Slay the elephant first. Then consider paint & porticos

To me, the problem is not the window, but that the very tthick, very white trim makes that overwhelm the house. I would paint it a color similar to your brick. Ditto for the garage door. Leave the inner window and door trim white or preferably cream.

I also think the trim is making a big window look bigger!

Here is exterior with double porticos you can go.

Keep the brick unpainted. Paint everything else including garage a light grey. Paint shutters a slightly darker grey.
