30” induction range with double ovens

I have a few questions about the state of induction stoves. We are planning a kitchen reno in 1-2 years but would be happy to replace our glass top electric range before the reno because we hate it. We know we want a double oven range — had one in our last house and it worked so well for us. Currently this leaves us with 2 options: the Cafe and a Samsung. (Samsung gets such bad reviews we’re not even considering it.)

My questions: 1) how often do appliance companies introduce new models for ranges? I’m shocked that there are so few options for induction!

are Cafe ranges ever discounted? Should I try to time our purchase around holiday sales or go ahead and get on a waiting list?

I've been looking at a 36" Cafe induction cooktop. It was listed as available last fall, then right before Christmas, the Cafe website said it was no longer being manufactured. And early this week I saw they have a new model code 36" induction cooktop, with minor updates.

Kitchenaid makes a 30" double oven induction range...It's currently listed as out of stock some places, so they might be rolling out a new model soon. Maybe the new year is a common time for new models?

Ah, this Kitchenaid wasn’t on my radar. i’ll keep an eye out to see if the do release a newer model!

Hmmm. The Samsung NE63T8951SS performed very well in CR's tests and its recommended but its reliability was only 3 out of 5. Owners rate it highly: Home Depot, Best Buy.

I got my KitchenAid KFID500 May 2017. It was out 5 months before the Cafe double oven induction. I agree I wish more manufacturers would come out with double oven induction range.
