Portercraft Hardwood Floor?

I’m renovating our main level and wondering if there is anyone out there who has used Portercraft engineered flooring? Looking at the Rivervail Collection in Catherine or Willowbank. The other flooring I’m looking at is Hallmark Alta Vista line in Malibu.

I’m looking at the same 2 Portercraft colors for our new build. I messaged Portercraft’s Instagram page and they replied that those are relatively new colors and they don’t have photos of them installed to send me. Have you had any luck finding out any information or photos of them?

I haven’t seen them installed anywhere. I got samples and think I’m going with Willowbank. It is very close to Malibu, which I like more….but I’ve heard bad stories about the maintenance so Im nervous to pull the trigger on that.

If you haven’t decided for sure yet, I had our flooring lady get boxes from her rep to look at actual planks laid out!

Here are the photos I took:

Awesome! We decided to go with Willowbank. Fingers crossed!

@katiemonahan what did you end up with?

Have these floors held up well since you have had them installed?

We actually ended up going with Bella Cera Ravello engineered hardwood in the Avino color and we are very very happy with them!

We are looking at the same. I’m wondering if you have any pictures of willowbank installed? I’ve emailed portercraft and all they have are stock photos which are not very helpful. Thank you!

We ordered Willowbank, but due to a mishap with the contractor we received the Astoria color instead. We could have fought it but we were months past schedule and I didn’t mind the color as much as I expected. They have held up beautifully…even after a major water mishap. Granted it’s only been a few months. (Our furniture hasn’t all arrived so please pardon the mismatch)

Wow, I hadn’t considered that color, but those are gorgeous. Thank you so much for your help and I hope you get to enjoy beautiful renovation soon!

To be honest the photos online of that color look awful and not at all accurate. When they arrived and before they were laid down I had a heavy handed cocktail and full meltdown. But in the end I think the color fits better than my original choice. Chalking it up to happy accident

I am also looking at Portercraft because my installer likes their quality. I loved Astoria in the online photos but the samples I saw in person all seemed way too dark. I love it in your photos though. Would you say the actual floor is close to the color in your photos? I am also looking at Willowbank and it seems very light. I would also like to see photos of Willowbank if anyone has that installed.

Hi Katie do you have any pictures of the bella cera you ended up choosing? thank you @katiemonahan

    Nancy,

sorry I missed your comment. I am happy with Astoria but still would have preferred Willowbank. They are very similar but Willowbank is a touch lighter. I think Astoria is lighter in real life than the photos. There is a lot of character to the planks which I appreciate and our installers did a great job blending all the boxes. There are some planks that have an ultra matte finish…I didn’t care for the way the light reflected off the majority of the planks but absorbed in the ultra matte ones. Installers just pulled those out and didnt use them. There was on average one plank per box of the ultra matte

I’m currently looking at the River vail line as well. What was the price per sq Ft? I’m waiting on a quote but wanted an idea.

Rivervail Northport shown here... client's home that we used it in throughout the first two levels...

I’ m searching for techinical specifications on the actural materials use for the finish. Are Portercraft floors low VOC, oil or water based stained, and do they contain added formaldehyde? Can’t find this information on the website. Thanks

I am looking at the Rivervail Collection, Golden or Willowbank. Can anyone tell me how theirs have held up?

Kim, we were looking at Northport. I brought it home and it seemed more grey. Do you feel it leans more grey or brown?

I have Willowbank. They’ve held up well so far. I can’t speak for Northport, but Willowbank leans brown

We were looking at Northport but like Golden better as it is less gray. Hard to tell from a sample though.

    Was breton installed yet?

Hi just checking in to see if Breton was installed in your project yet?

No, it was delivered Thursday... and has to acclimate. It
is 7000 sf so will take a minute. Thanks

Ok! Totally understand. If no trouble, still hoping you can share a photo once installed. The retailer I am working with ordered me a box of Breton (photo below) and I was shocked at the amount of knots displayed. Just curious to see if maybe it was just the box I ordered?

    Here is Breton

This is Breton- it has no backing if that is what the dark piece you show is

The dark piece shown is a sample of my island color. The Breton you show is beautiful, although it has no knots. I will wait and see

    Any progress photos on Breton??

Breton- not clean and only natural light

Absolutely beautiful! Thank you so much! Good luck!

This post has been so helpful, thank you all! We are installing hardwood throughout our entire house and this has been the most difficult decision. We are leaning towards the Portercraft Rivervail Collection but struggling with the color variation. We bought a box of Astoria to test it out and realized we want to go a little darker like Golden. For those who have installed the Portercraft Rivervail, does the color variation bother you or your clients? I guess we can always pull out the darker planks but feels like a waste.
