Sherry: I think that play on words is one of your wurst-lol...........Such a pretty island space for your daylilies. I see some nice tall yellows in the back and a lovely maroon front left. I'll probably go Duh after you tell me, but what is the metal stand in the front? A plaque?...........I don't know about my best. I only have 2 K's and one is new this year and may not make it to next after this winter. But they are both very pretty and I like them, and that's the point to me:

Kansas Kitten: I love the unusual coloring of this one. I would probably get more than 12 buds if I had it in a sunnier spot. In a sunnier spot, I would probably lose the color. Decisions decisions.

KIWI MAGIC: A fantastic Bennett intro. An awesome plant. I hope to leave it undisturbed for the next two years. I am always digging into this one.

KISSING BRIDE: A Bennett that was new to me in the fall of 2021. Showing some promise.

KENDRA JANNELL: An old Doc Branch intro. If i correctly recall, Mr. Bennett used this one in his hybridizing. Not in the best place in the garden, but continues to reward me.

Maryl, I like Kiss You In the Morning

David, Kansas Kitten and Kendra Jannell are both beautiful! I wouldn't know what to eat if I were a vegetarian since I hate 90% of all veggies!

I have only 3 K's. Kirsten's Corsage is a favorite but I wouldn't recommend it. Practically it blooms only fair but I do love each blooms. Below are two reliable ones.

Karen's Curls. Often gives a nice show. Amount of buds varies but usually is pretty good.

Kent's Favorite Two does well every year.

Kermit has a fancy edge. I'm always eager to hear about the performance of the Douglas intros. Kiss Me in the Morning here has not done much yet. Now that's a big green throat on Karen's Curls.

Kingdom Without End is a fine cultivar. Not a fast multiplier, but there are slower.

Kingdom Bound is one of the finest Emmerichs in the garden. Later blooming with good bud count. Here, anything in the teens is good.

Katherine Caldwell is a large early-blooming pink blend. Quite prominent in the early garden.

Katherine Marin was exceptional last year. Flowers are held high on strong scapes. A little upfacing for my taste, but not so tall that the flowers are for the birds. Not a fast multiplier, but certainly increases.

I finally divided this clump of Kansas Kitten. There are a lot of Carpenter cultivars that have stood the test of time.

Mantis, I really like Kingdom Bound and Kingdom Without End; great color and form. Kansas Kitten is nice too.

Maryl, the metal thing in my garden photo is a solar light. The two tall yellow daylilies in the back are Stone Palace Divine and Faber Saber, I love them both. I think it was their second season in the garden. love Kiss you in the Morning.

Sherry - The wurst may be the best bad joke so far!

Maryl - I find both Kiss You in the Morning and Kermit the Frog appealing.

Others K's I like here are Karen's Curls and Katherine Marin.

Mantis - Kingdom Bound is very pretty. I've never added it because it reminds me too much of Entwined in the Vine. Kingdom Without End multiplies slower than molasses here. I don't know if that's because I've set too much seed on it or the grubs have gotten to it. It stayed at three fans for three years, and last year it fell back to only two fans. If I have time, I'm going to move it this Spring and dose it up good with grub killer.

Kingdom Without End

Kentucky Lucky is my best K over the long haul. It doesn't have as many buds as it once did and the scapes are shorter than in its first few years, but it always makes a showy clump.

Kara Louise is a nice tall red that is multiplying well. Last year was its third year in my garden. It keeps its color pretty well in the heat.

Kiss of Paradise usually does well and reblooms, but last year it was very low in buds.

My favorites of these are Katherine Marin, Kansas Kitten and Kara Louise.

I have only 1 today. Kiss of Paradise has done well for us. Even if it doesn't perform like it would in the south, it is always a welcomed sight as it blooms early for us.

Kara Louise definitely seems to be popular.

I too grow Kansas City Kicker. It is probably a few inches shorter than in Kay's garden, but not quite as short as parent Sabine Baur. Blooms are clean and it is quite reliable.

And I grow King of the Ages (actually overlooked that one initially). Sort of a tawny color. Reliable, later, and a moderate increaser. Nearly all of Emmerich's intros have religious references. I must say that she does live the best of her religion in the honesty with which she presents her cultivars. She always gives multiple pictures, including clump shots if available and spent scapes. She goes out of her way to point out potential faults or limitations. Of course, no one can clearly predict how a plant will perform in another region. Indeed, there is a big difference between the snow-covered upper Midwest, the interior Ohio Valley, and the coastal East. I am always amused when people just say, "I am in Zone 6," without recognizing the big area that that covers.

My favorites today: Kiwi Magic, Kiss you in the morning , Kingdom Bound and Kingdom Without End-I tend to like Emmerich daylilies, Kara Louise, and Kansas City Kicker.

My Ks are

Kierabel Multiplies and grows well, too tall possibly for spot I have it in, Hillbilly Heart is right beside it, a short plant but gives you an idea

My favorite is Katherine Marin. That clump shot is especially divine.

I don't have many K's. And a couple are repeats of what's already been shared. However, this one is my favorite of all my daylilies. She has a place in my heart and garden forever.

She has the elaborate ruffled edges of the southerns but is a hardy northern daylily. Very fertile and I have some gorgeous seedlings out of her.

KITTY BANNERMAN

ONE daylily but had to show 3 photos because I couldn't choose which one I liked best!

The downside is she is very hard to obtain. I got mine years ago before the hybridizer (Weitz) stopped selling.

Mine grows quite tall with sturdy scapes, large flowers, good increase, bud count is quite good

KINGDOM BOUND is fairly new for me but seems like it will be a good plant. It is very hard to pod but it will set pods with certain pollen. Mine isn't a gorgeous clump yet like Mantis's.

KENNESAW CROSSFIRE, fairly new but is looking great so far.

KANSAS KITTEN, everybody who grows this knows how good this one is. I usually forget I have it in favor of larger, newer daylilies. But in spite of being planted in the worst part of the garden in the shade, and being subjected to neglect and drought conditions, it just keeps on being great.

Kitty Bannerman reminds me a bit of Memphis. Too bad she will never be well distributed.

I see that Kierabel is one of Grossman's.

This season, Kiss My Aura displayed very well. Bitones always seem to attract attention. its bud count won't overwhelm, but seems to be getting better.

Celeste, KATHRYN CALDWELL is my favorite of these.
