Satin or Eggshell?

Hi. I’m needing advice on paint finishes. Should I go with satin or eggshell with BM Pale Oak in the 2 living rooms? And a flat with my darker colors in the dining room and bedroom? BM Duxbury & Basil. My painter is asking & I have no idea what to choose. Thanks in advance.

Trim will be BM Simply White in either semi gloss or pearl. Need advice on that too. 😵‍💫

Satin has a higher sheen than eggshell, making it more resistant to marks and stains. When I painted the entire inside of my home, I used satin for all my moldings and doors. I am happy with this choice.

General rule is Satin or semi gloss for trim, flat for ceilings, and eggshell, matte, on walls. However, its totally up to you.
