We have to change our beam arrangement a little bit because we decided to push our skylights towards the perimeter of the room. These are the two options I have currently. The room is 20 feet wide and the original plan was to have five beams. The option with five beams, they cannot be equidistant. If you noticed the three beams between the two skylights are further apart. I’m not sure if the beams are not equidistant, if it’s going to look odd. So as a compromise, I drew up the other option with four beams. Which ones do you guys like? Also, how wide should I go for each beam and how deep? I have never had beams before but I love the look of it. So if you’ve been through this process, please let me know.
And if you have beams that are not equidistant, I’d love to see a picture.
