Bathroom remodel

Getting ready to remodel a 22 year old primary bathroom. DH doesn't want any tile anywhere. Grout lines issue. What are suggested alternatives for shower, countertops etc.? Also suggestions for flooring, especially color. Natural hickory vanities will be staying. TIA
