Look. Nothing RH, that much is certain. As to Room and Board? I love them for their case pieces. I won't say upholstery is their strong suit.

While few will tell you this, it's nearly impossible to buy a couch @ 2k to 3k that is great quality. That was the price of a great couch.........20 odd years AGO.

The continual effort to market/put that price point out there today? How do you think it's done? You take out......quality. You make the piece less expensive to create. You use lesser materials. There IS no other way, and no other way for any mfg to profit. That's the fact.

Between the two you posted? Go with the Room and Board - at least they have great customer service : )

If you have a showroom nearby, go and sit in them. We have a room and board large sectional we bought 5 years ago and have two young kids. It still looks brand new, so we are a happy customer. They were fantastic when we went to the store and they had us sit and share what we liked and disliked, then used that to take us to the next one until we found our selection.

The quality at RH, PB, C&B is really bad. If you really must have RH, find an outlet. Great deals can be found. You're still paying too much for how it's made IMO, but at least it's 30-40% off retail. If you have the time, better to shop good quality stores for floor samples. Kincaid's upholstery is well done & better priced than most. We have a Stickley sectional that will be going strong generations from now. It's the most comfortable piece I've ever owned. Definitely try to learn a bit more about fabric types and inner construction. Good luck!

My son has the York and it is quite comfortable.

I love room and board as a company. Exceptional staff from customer service to delivery guys.  Have tried others but won't buy from anyone other than room and board.
