That is a great idea! i do have two dogs and this leads to the outdoors (muddy feet). the only thing good about the tiles is that they clean up easiky :) thank you for the response!

Some types of vinyl and laminate flooring can also be applied right over old tile.

Those colors are complements or near complements. If you like that look I think it would be fine. Get a rug that works with the wall paint. Or both floor and wall. The other option is to go with a light cream (SW Creamy) that will work with the floors. You don’t seem to have a lot of wall space.

I forgot to add my caveat: test with a large sample and make sure it works with your trim. Needs to have enough contrast that the trim/wall don’t look dirty against each other. Could always use the trim color as the wall color if you like it.

PLease no etching of windows ever There are tons of choices for window covering that can give you much better privacy than etched window film . As for wall color I thought that was what you wanted but you love what you have so the heading is confusing. I think the wall color you have now is awful with the floors . I agree a large rug or maybe even 2 matching ones with 2 seating areas if the space is large . I would not do carpet tiles with dogs but you could look intoLVP but of course only cetain ones will be able to go over tile . IMO if you hate it then take it put I removed all the tile that was in the kitchen hallways and bathrooms in our house once it got started the job was quite easy the big expense was having the tile hauled away I think trying to make something you hate work takes more effort than removing it.

I think a creamy white would be pretty on the walls and help tone down/ nuetralize the orange floors. You could then bring in a large sisal/jute rug and start adding furnishings leaning into creams, blues and orange on fabric…. large floral and stripe pillows would be pretty. I also agree with Patricia that different window covering would work better than etched…. perhaps woven shades. Pic is what I did years ago in a house that had a wide hallway connecting 2 areas. Of course styles were different then but you get the idea for the window coverings.
