How high do I put sconces on either side of glass shelves on dining room wall?
Does it matter where the base plate of light is positioned? Or the top of the light? Are there rules for how to add sconces next to shelves?

I have 60 inch wide wall. The 4 shelf unit is 36 inches wide, which leaves 12 inches on each side.

I like the 2 light sconces, but doubt I have the wall width for them. I am afraid the single lights I choose are too bathroomy looking.
