I always want lighting over the sink so I can see while working there. And closer to the wall is good, so you aren't casting shadows on the sink. There are dozens of possibilities for ceiling mounted kitchen sink lighting. I'll try and attach a photo, just for an idea.

There is no sun at night . You need some kind of light over the sink. Wall sconces are really cute.

I love something decorative in the sink area, not jut recessed lights.

If the recessed lights are positioned about 12-18" from the wall I think they should light the sink nicely without harsh shadow in your work area or light in your face.

I personally wouldn't want a wall light. However, I would like those two lights on their own switch so they can be on without lighting up all the general lighting in the space.

The can lights should put out more than enough light to illuminate the sink, they're not spaced far apart and are relatively close to the counter. If you really want to put something there, do a can light directly over the center of the sink.

What about a gooseneck fixture or a barn light?
