Very nice Gary & Beth. I have always thought YR was lovely.

    Repeats for me.

gary...really like your 2 Xanadu. Going to check out more in the HL.

    Yellow Polka Dot Bikini 5

Yellow River 6-1-22.... grew slowly for me

Good on ya! From past experience it may be up tp a couple of months before you see them in the HL but if you sybmit them they will eventually make it in. Bill and Carol do tge additions in batches, alphabetically, and seeing as yours are right at the back end....well, I think you get the picture!

I encourage everyone who contributed to the Alphabet threads to submit their pictures to the HL, in particular any variety not already there!

    Thanks!

@ilovetogrow z9 Jax Florida Your end of series cartoons in this post are over the top funny! I do love Hosta and do enjoy seeing all the beautiful photos. But, I must say that this annual series you’ve created gives me something fun to look forward to during the dreary days of January! Many thanks to you Paula.

    Here are my couple:

This little one is a fast grower.

gary, you are very lucky to have two Xanadus. I imagine both of those are hard to come by. Is the XP stable? Yellow Flame is a pretty one. That Zebra Stripes is so unusual….can’t get used to the idea of white hostas, but it’s pretty!

Beth and mbug, I love Yellow River….beautiful coloring!

Peren, nice progression on Yellow Polka Dot Bikini. Does ZS go all green by the end of summer?

Sally, two real beauties!! Yes, yes, send them to the HL as well as any other ones you have that aren’t well represented in the library.

hosta_maker, Yellow Hat is wonderfully rumpled!

Saija, both of yours are perfect! Your YPDB has the whitest margins……really nice!

Just the one Y for me. I ordered Yellow River a few years back but turned out to be So Sweet.

Yesterday's Memories - In total shade, I should take a piece and see what it does in sun.

Since Yesterday's Memories is a Squash Casserole sport it should take a lot of sun. I love the way Wave Runner responds to some sun so I became very interested in other Squash Casserole sports (alas my Squash Casserole did not do well for me in its dry sunny spot).

YM holds its color very well here in afternoon sun, not really changing very much at all.

    Yesterday's Memory in mid June

    and in early August

It's hard to tell it's even variegated in the pics, so I may like it better in the shade.

    X-cellent

Yosemite Valley before it turns yellow

Zucchini Fries - I love the corkscrew leaf in front

funny jokes Paula!..a real question..have you ever had an alligator in your yard?..

I have just one for XYZ..Yellow Polka Dot Bikini..still in the grower’s pot..I WILL plant it this summer..

steve..I like Zucchini Fries and Yosemite Valley..

as always everyone’s hosta look great 🙂..

an old hawk pic for you Paula..wasn’t fuzzy when I took it..I researched it..from what I read it’s a storage problem..I use iCloud now and hope this won’t happen..

Old_dirt and Steve, Yesterday’s Memories looks terrific and both shade and sun….. to me that’s a winner! Doesn’t matter where you plant it……it looks good either way.

Steve, also really like X-cellent. But——- if I buy Zucchini Fries, am I guaranteed a corkscrew leaf? Now, there’s another pic for the library!

Ann, I wish I could see a couple of hawks when I look outside! When driving along the highway in rural areas we can often see them perched signs along the side of the road. They are beautiful!! Next year we will see your YPDB in a garden picture 👍🏽

Sally nice ones. Hope they get added to the HL sometime this year.

hosta_maker I like a good corrugated leaf and Yellow Hat certainly has that.

Saija interesting colouration on YPDB. Mine has never gone white. How much sun is it getting? What a lovely YSR.

mbug another wonderful YR. YPDB is getting popular with us!

Debra no ZS never goes all green. The downside to it is a very thin leaf. YB is very nice indeed & ZZP is terrific. I am sure we will all look forward to seeing it over the years. I seem to recall it is a fairly recent intro to your garden.

    old_dirt a beautiful YM.

Steve X-cellent really is. YV is good looking. ZF is interesting and that corkscrew leaf is the best.

Ann that would be a shame if all your cloud pics get distortion. I did not know that was a thing. I was so happy to get an external hard drive at Christmas. It is a fabulous pic of the hawks!

Laurie..I had a Samsung phone for 5 years..eventually I needed space and added an SD card..from what I read pics can degrade with age..until 3 months ago my photos were stored on this phone..

with my new iPhone I’m storing everything in the iCloud..I think? it’s better quality storage..

I didn’t have a photo of my YPDB but mine looks like a tiny version of yours..a narrow uneven white line bordering the center color..

I've been somewhat remiss at posting pictures in this year's threads, so the least I can do is add one to the last letter..

Here's my 'Yellow Polka Dot Bikini' in the middle of May...

...and here it is towards the end of August!
