Others in 36" are Bosch industrial design and Electrolux or a near identical Frigidaire.

I have a wolf induction cooktop. I LOVE my induction and the Wolf is one of the best. BUT, I chose mine because of the way the burners were set up. It makes a difference. Even Wolf could do it a little better.

I installed a 48" Wolf DF range in my previous house. When we built last year we installed a 36" Wolf Induction range. Really happy with the Induction. So much easier to clean and keep clean. I only use the 36" range oven for parties, because I also have a Miele CSO XXL that heats up really quickly for everyday cooking.

I recently (6 mos) bought and installed a Frigidaire induction cooktop (after years of GE gas and before that, 50 yr old flat top electric) and I am ecstatic. I was looking for easier cleaning (rather than hauling the honking gas grates around every time I cook for 30 min of cleaning), and induction has delivered on that, fully. I no longer even think about cleanup when I plan my cooktop meals (before it was, "oh don't fry burgers, I'm not up to it") as the induction is simply flat glass, SO quick and easy to make spotless.

The thing I didn't expect is the incredible power and speed far outstripping gas.

Yes, that's right, my humble bottom of the line 4 year old clearance induction Frigidaire cooktop is a screaming demon at power and speed. Boils a full pot of water before it seems possible. And it's so easy to control. I had to replace almost all my pots, and, I'll be honest, finding a square induction griddle is a bit of a search. (I got cast iron and it's fine.)

So, I can't really tell you about Wolf vs. any other brand. I'm here to say, go induction.
