Too much going on in a small space . I much prefer 12 x24 porcelain tile for both bathroom floors and the same tile for shower walls . I do not like penny or hex tiles so I usually just use the same tile only smaller for shower floors. If you want a bit of bling do a vertical strip off center in the shower and use that tile for backsplash . The fewer things going on in a small space the longer you will like and the easier to change things like accents, wall color all easier and cheaper than ripping out tile

Thanks! appreciate the opinion. the bathroom is 6.5 x 10.5 so its not tiny but perhaps not large enough to have all the different tiles combinations.

This is your floor tile, the Daltile Petal Black? Then I would go DEAD simple with the one additional tile choice you could add into the space

Yes-that is the floor tile. so that means i am keeping one of the three options: white penny rounds (original plan was to use penny rounds only for shower floor and niche), spa blue or desert gray daltile for shower wall and vanity area. im leaning towards the chevron pattern and no arabesque. any suggestions on which tile to combine with the petal black floor tile?

Holy smokes. That is a lot of look in one bathroom and perhaps a super skilled designer could pull it off, but I'm not convinced a mere mortal can. It could be great if you could post what spa blue tile looks like. If it is a soft blue I would consider going with the Daltile petal pattern in soft grey instead of black. It will allow you to have more colors and patterns in the same room without it feeling too busy and harsh.

I have a sample of the gray and it is much lighter in person and im waiting for the blue to arrive.

I had a customer use the petal grey in the bath, 3x12 for wall behind vanity, 2x2 for the shower floor, 12 x 24 for the shower walls and penny tiles for the niche

It's a lot of tile but this was a big bath. The colors are all in the same pallet so it works.
