I really like the chair style & color with your walls but it doesn't go with anything else in the room and it's a tight sqeeze where it's at.

Perhaps you could get smaller night stands, even some hung on the wall. Or just a small one for that side (wicker maybe? they don't have to match) then get bedding to coordinate with that, also that would narrow down your choices if you decide to add a rug (natural or mostly solid).

Could you show pics of the other 2 walls and maybe that would help to give you other possibilities??

As for the furniture, the headboard is beige. The bed, nightstands stay. The chair can be removed, I just love to read daily so enjoy sitting, but I am negotiable.

I can afford trimmings but not furniture replacement because my daughter bought me the bed and nightstand and my son bought the bedding. I need to accessorize so they don’t feel hurt. " I Always wanted the "girlie" room". Go from sad to glad? Gifts from children are wonderful. But they do not sleep in the room, and at their younger ages, they will not understand the desire for "girlie" anything. They live in a gray and beige environment, for the most part: ) They bought you neutral, so you COULD make it your own.

Maybe it's long past time to get what you want..........Start with art over the bed. ....and you don't have to do all in a single day. I don't understand where the green walls came from, but go with it. Girl green: )

It's a great color and you've gotten some good suggestions for elevating your decor a bit. If that chair works for you to read in your room, leave it. The color is really nice with the wall color and there is nothing wrong with it there. In the ideal world, perhaps it could have a bit more room, but this is your bedroom and if it works for you, don't remove it.

If you had a large budget you could maybe get smaller end tables but then the lamps wouldn't fit, so you'd have to get wall hung lamps. That's just all too silly and expensive when you have a chair, tables and lamps that work for you!

I like the tall mirrors behind the nightstand. it eats up some wall space and bounces light around. gave you diff lamps (see below for more on the mirrors and lighting)

remove that chair and replace w/potted plant

can your son do some batten accents like this one? (not that difficult) or what about the shelf off to one side w/some plants or art?

if you like more of a classic look, some judges panel molding.

what about the fan? do you use it or would a chandelier be nice?

what I also like are some mirrors behind your lamps on the nightstand. and accessories.

this room is similar. the aged brass/bronze framed mirrors are tall enough and thin enough to work. (plus, this one has a tall headboard) you need a little contrast w/all of the white

this is very 'girly' and relaxing. If you took away every accessory, it would be like your room. except all white.

Thanks for sharing more about what you won't and are willing to do. Thrift stores/Craig's List/ect. are a very nice and affordable way to decorate. Picture frames, as an example, can be found and with a can of spray paint and fabric/wallpaper/personal photos/a print found online can make beautiful artwork customized to your liking.

I was waiting on a picture of the wall across from the bed to see if you might put the night table between the doors there. Then, that would make room for your chair and a smaller table.

Here are some low cost ideas:

Beth……. I do like the mirror idea behind the nightstands. I never thought about that. You ladies are awesome. I have lots of great suggestions. I would really love a rug. I not only like rugs but bringing in some base color would add a lot. I love the monochromatic look but seeing your photos, brings such clarification.
