Hi! We are doing an induction cooktop in our remodel and I wanted to know what everyone's opinion is as to what is the best 36" mid-range induction cooktop is. I'd like to spend less than $3000 for the cooktop. Right now in my designs I have a kitchen aid 36" induction cooktop ($2200) with the corresponding kitchen aid downdraft, which rises 13.5 inches. Any experiences with this cooktop? I can't find much online. Also, does anybody have experience with the GE Profile line? I could also consider doing a step up into the JennAir Oblivion or GE Cafe line, but I don't know if it's worth the extra money. Any opinions on that? Finally, how big of a downdraft do you recommend with induction cooking? Thanks for any help!
