we have a basement room at the beach that can flood on occasion during hurricanes. the first 3 feet of the "walls" is cedar planking ( exterior) . want to paint it white to go with the beadboard that is above it. any thoughts on priming (oil or latex) and type of paint. room does get a fair amount of moisture as well.

have read a few articles about cedar "bleeding" through paint, so welcome any insights or recos.
