Please post a picture of the bathroom if you want any suggestions...

I'm planning to remodel my primary bathroom and so far I've met with two designers for ideas. Both told me they think grey cabinetry is on its way out and that "earth tones" are coming back in. So based on that, I would paint walls grey and cabinets white.

I can't see how gray is on its way out. People who make that comment, I wonder if they are color blind? Grays have some of the most beautiful undertones and removing gray from a color chart would leave a huge gap that could be filled.

That said, I would not do gray in the bathroom. You describe the room as bright with lots of windows. Work with the orientation. East light is lovely in the early morning, but that's kind of it. As the sun quickly moves around, gray or white will shadow over. East light loves, green, blues and a combination of both.

My choice would be S W Rainwashed on the walls, and S.W. pure white on cabinets (semi-gloss), woodwork (semi-gloss) and ceiling (flat).
