It's not termites. You wouldn't see holes if it was, they tunnel underneath the surface of the wood and rarely show their face or holes outside the wood. They could be boring larvae holes when the tree was growing, or holes from debarking or drive rollers moving the lumber through the mill.

To put your mind at ease take a pocket knife and try shoving it into the wood where the holes are. If they are termite tunnels which made it two the surface the wood inside will be saw dust.

Beetle holes from when that was a tree, been there since the wood was milled. Nothing to worry over.
