Stove HELP!! Centered or not Centered?

Hi, I’m finalizing my kitchen plans with a designer and have reached an impasse with what to do. The issue is finding balance on the stove wall. Here are the options:

1. Put the stove and fridge on the SAME wall but then the stove is off-center by an entire foot with the island. This might not be a huge issue in a huge kitchen but mine is average and currently the stove, island and fireplace in adjacent room are all in rough alignment. Also, the stove/hood is going to be a focal point and framed with sconces which also has me preferring it to be more centered on that wall vs pushed down to one side.

2. Keep the fridge where it currently is behind the island stools. This allows the stove wall to be configured so stove, hood and sconces are all nicely centered. The designer however doesnt like this option (I’d have to sign a release!) because there would only be 39.5” of clearance from island edge to fridge vs their preferred 43”.

Help please!!
