Countertop Help

Please give suggestions for coordinating quartz, quartzite, or granite for kitchen countertops and island. My cabinets are antique white- very creamy (see photos). I’d like to replace my countertops while leaving tiled backsplash in place ( porcelain 4”x 4”) tiles that resemble travertine.
I’d like a calm look rather than a dramatic statement.
I’m having a hard time finding a countertop with warm undertones that would coordinate.
I’ve looked at Neve Supreme Quartz from Alliance (photo) for countertop and Taj Mahal Quartzite for island (photo). I’m concerned that the Neve Supreme has a cool undertone and that using them together would be too busy. What are your thoughts and suggestions? Thank you.

IMO the travertine looks gray and next to the cabinets. Why change the counters ? I would not do 2 different counters for sure I like the counter in the bottom pick, the large piece but I think the backspalsh needs to be changed .And maybe the easy way to go is just the backspalsh the same as the one type of counter everywhere That is Taj Mahal quartzite and IMO you never mix real stone and fake in the same space . BTW no accent tile behind the range either . I think the cabinets are very yellow and maybe before choosing anything fix the lighting to minimize that yellow. Change all the buls in all the lighting to LED 4000K then at least all the choice colors will stay true.

I second the Vermont Soapstone suggestion, and with keeping the perimeter and island countertop the same material. Please don't change your backsplash--that crab mural over the cooktop is to die for! Your kitchen already has a warm, inviting feeling and the travertine-look backsplash tile adds plenty of visual interest without introducing a busily patterned countertop. The soapstone is a classic and slabs come in color variations from cool blue to warm soft gray. It tolerates heat and even feels inviting to touch. I think it would look fabulous in your kitchen!

(If you prefer quartz over natural stone, MSI Q Soapstone Metropolis is a good quartz substitute for warm-toned soapstone, with a charcoal rather than blue base.)

Another vote to keep the backsplash. i love the colors with the cabinets. Also, i agree with you that the granite needs a switch.

    Another vote for soapstone.

I am an amateur, so keep that in mind. We are looking at cream cabs and these are the granites we are interested in, warm cream veins. I love the honed look of these darker ones and they look similar to soapstone supposedly.

Thank you all for your suggestions- very appreciated! I will definitely change the lighting to LED bulbs. I do like the look of soapstone however I want to brighten up the kitchen (we live in SC by the coast) and am looking for a light countertop. I am definitely keeping the backsplash and the crab tile 😀. Please add any further suggestions. Thanks!

I love our taj counters. The stone isn't too busy, but had depth and dimension to it. It also goes really nicely with off white cabinets. I would do island and perimeter in the same stone. The variation in it Id say is enough of variety. Perla Venata would also be an option. BUt you need to go look at actual slabs in person. Some stones are light, some have a bit of purple in them, some more brown.

Soap stone I'd also vote yes as it would be a nice contrast. It just seems like a stone that has a bit more upkeep to it.

Thank you! I did see some Taj slabs that I liked and will consider it. I agree with all about using the same material on perimeter and island. I appreciate your input.
