I do basement layouts for customers and contractors, when it comes to basements, additions, decks, etc you're better off getting some sort of software or hiring a drafter, it would be more beneficial to you where you can visualize your design in 3D as it was already built. When I get rough drawings with proposed layouts and when you do a preview there are always changes to be made, because of how you see in 2D and how you see it in 3D there is a big difference in the feel of space and how everything flows together.

@GN Builders L.L.C - wow, thank you. Yes I made my rough draft using open source Sweet Home 3D - really rough draft especially compared to yours - just to "start" putting ideas out of my head.

A proper as-built and more representative would be a better starting point. That would include any MEP that is above your head, any posts that are wrapped in a wall or if an interior wall is bearing, the extent of concrete foundation walls vs the walk-out wood framed walls, etc.

Then the same as designing the above-grade floors, you need program requirements - media room, rec area, sized for pool table, how much storage, bedroom, office, etc and a budget.

Your bathtub was probably set up to be rotated 90d.

@3onthetree - thanks for the info - FYI I am just getting started and don't know the formal design process. I just took with information that I knew with tools available - and be like nike JUST DO IT. I was not thinking that this would be anything final.
