Your client is paying you to have this knowledge and to do the work. It is unbelievable to me that you are asking an internet forum to do it for you. Only if you give us a percentage, OK?

Let me reword this. Would love some PERSONAL FEEDBACK if you have a large super single stainless steel sink.

Doesn't change what you are asking. You are a Pro, getting paid by a client for design work, and you are subcontracting that out to an internet forum, getting that advice for free, and I doubt you will tell your client that is what you did. Does your client know that s/he is paying you for expertise that you are are asking an internet forum to provide instead?

Are you guys freaking kidding me? What do you know about me or how I operate? I have been coming here for over 20 years to get informed on products from pros and homeowners alike. If you must know, the homeowner isn't paying me for design and hasn't paid me a cent yet. And when they do order next week....they are purchasing their own sink and faucet. I was just trying to help her out because she doesn't seem very tech savvy. I'm up to my eyeballs in work....was just hoping the nice people here could let me know if they like a certain sink.

That isn't what you said. You said you have a client who wants a big sink. Anyone would think - since you are a Pro referring to a client - that you are getting paid. If you want to help her out that is nice. But you are seeming to be generously helping her out, and she may think you are generously giving of yourself to help her out, when actually you are asking people here to do that. Still not cool.

What is considered super big? I have a 32 inch kraus stainless sink and it is more then big enough to clean large pots, pans and sheet pans. What does the client plan to do with this super big sink?

I would say over 32".

well, I'd say I'm fairly tech savvy, not a Pro and I'm still looking for a bigger stainless sink that I like also. I've been looking for weeks. Outside of going custom, pickings are fairly slim in the non-workstation category. If she wants a workstation, Ruvati makes a 45". And also the same thing in a 57"!! Practically a bathtub!

But anyway.... allow me to link you some of my other findings - free of charge ;-)

Kohler Strive (this has mixed reviews from what I can tell. Don't shoot the messenger)

Elkay ELUHH3017TPDBG - I really like this one. I saw it in person in a showroom and it's lovely. The finish, the perfect drain, very nice --- but the inside dimension is only 30" ... same with all the stainless steel Blancos.

@The Kitchen Place if you find anything better LMK because the struggle is real.

I have the Strive. The bottom is relatively flat, so it can be difficult to get debris to wash down the drain. Other than that, it looks great.

Right. There are hundreds of thousands of products related to the design/remodeling/home building industries. And a designer is responsible for understanding the properties of every product they specify, including but not limited to cabinets, countertops, plumbing, lighting, tile, flooring, staircases, millwork, windows, fireplaces, paint, etc. We curate our knowledge from a wide variety of resources from vendors, reps, showrooms, continuing education classes, and yes, sometimes a message board. I personally have learned a lot here about products and materials and consumer preferences. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her asking the question, pro or not.

I may be having an undermount sink custom made because the sink base cabinet is pulled forward and the customers want 19" front to back. We'll see how much the extra 2" is going to cost.

Even with my original wording, I don't think I deserved some of the replies. But oh well....that's what happens when you post on a public forum. I try to word things well, but was in a hurry that day (I'm busy and get overwhelmed sometimes). Ps. I own and operate a kitchen dealership and am also a caregiver for my Mother-in-law with dementia. Life can be crazy....always be kind.

SO moving along..... thank you thank you thank you to all of you that sent links to some sinks. I carry Ruvati and didn't even know about the new 39" size. I know she will be intrigued by that one! But we'll need to bump up her sink base size. Was a SB39....but we can go up to a 42" if that's what she wants to do.

What do you guys think about the 1" sloped bottom? Would love some feedback from people that have one with a sloped bottom. I'll need to take some time and read some reviews! ;-) Sounds like a good idea, since one of the major complaints about 'flat bottomed' sinks is how they drain. Does the slope feel weird when scrubbing a pot or doing dishes? Does the slope help substantially with draining?

@The Kitchen Place, I hadn't seen this before and you certainly didn't deserve the rude comments, even if your phrasing wasn't perfect. You have been very helpful in this forum over the years and I appreciate your time and contributions.

I have used Julien (Home Improvements) sinks in 2 houses and been happy with them. They come in all sizes. I really like that they have an option for 18" back to front ... but that works better if you pull out the base cabinets a few inches. You can also choose 8" or 10" deep.

This is my current Julien sink - 48" opening (sink is 30" and integrated drainboard is 18"). Lower cabs were pulled out 3" ... wish I had asked for a few inches more.

I ordered this Create Good Sinks sink for a 42” cabinet. I have received the item but not installed nor used it yet since my kitchen remodel doesn’t start until mid-April. We have inspected the sink. It is gorgeous, extremely sound-proof, and heavy. Hope this helps. (39" Apron Front Farmhouse Sink - Workstation Sink - Double Bowl - Large Bowl Left - 5LAD39c). Hope this helps.

I had a Ruvati in our last build and bought it again for our new build because I loved it so much! Love the slight slope at the bottom, easy to clean. Great product IMO if you’re looking for a large single basin.

I have a family member with this 40 workstation create good sink and it is very nice. I especially like that the corners do have a bit of a radius to them, this sink feels huge. I am interested in this 36" workstation nantucket sink for my reno if it ever gets here :) but I have not seen it in person.
