Hi, my plant has this brown spots on some leaves sometimes causing a hole/ missing piece of the leaf.

I checked the soil and it was wet although the plant has not been watered recently. I re-poted it and put it into a new soil to prevent overwatering but i suspect this issue might be fungus. Could you please help me to diagnose what is happening with my plant? I would love to help but feel powerless as I dont know what the problem is:(.
