as with blue plants... like hosta.. they are reflecting the blue sky above... try the same test on a cloudy day.. and see if there is a difference.. also try in the morning and at dusk ...

its all about blue sky and light intensity ... as to how you eye perceives the colors ....

Ask the roofing company to put up a 3 feet square sample of both on your roof. That's what my company did and it helped me make a selection. But, I don't think you can go wrong with Weathered Wood.

Can only base it on your photos but the OG does look blue-ish. Maybe stick with WW. Do they have something that leans more neutral gray/charcoal? That would work nicely, including with your brick.

Gutters should not be black unless all the fascia and trim is black. Gutters are not a decoration piece, you want them to blend in and almost fadeaway. I think a darker color like their black would be better.

@millworkman thank you ! I was going to do white gutters but the standard white does not match the off- white trim / siding so it also sticks out. My inspiration was this project which is using black aluminum gutters. Thoughts on this? I, for one, am not a fan of the look of the gutters on the White House that you share as your inspiration. They detract from the home. And I would never run them down the front of the house. Rather, I would tuck them to the sides and off the facade, if possible. (Interesting that the ones shown in your photo just dump out into the flower beds and lawn and NOT into a drain system. Also not a good idea. But this is just MY opinion.

PS: gutters can be painted to match your home’s color.
