black or white solar shades

I plan to use a solar shade with either 10 or 14% openness. Typically, I would lean toward the black because I know it would tend to be more "invisible" than white however, in this particular case I wonder if it would stand out too much with all the white trim, light gray tile etc.

Would love some professional opinions.

I have black solar shades in my living room. It has white walls, white window frames and a light ash floor. The black shades look GREAT. I, too, was debating between white and black. I'm glad I went with black. White would have made the room look washed out.

One note about solar shades. They are really very effective in keeping the heat out. Today it is about 85 degrees outside and my windows are southwest facing. The window side of my solar shade is 122 degrees. The same spot on the room side of the solar shade is 76 degrees. Yes, I have my air conditioner on, but we're talking about an inch or less of difference between the window side and the room side. It's crazy!

Black solar shades would optimally make more sense in this space, as white shades would be washed out against the walls and cabinets. In addition, it would match the light fixture and appliances in color.

I'd do white. I don't see that you want the blind to be dominant in this space.

Or a black-and-white pattern.

If you want to be able to see out it while its down darker shades are better but if that doesn't matter, white.

It really comes doen to personal choice. A darker shade of sunscreen fabric would mean that you could see out more. You may wish to go for a grey sunscreen roller blind as an in between colour.

This is a sunscreen roller blind in black fabric that we supplied for one of our customers.

This is a double sunscreen in black and grey that we supplied for one of our customers.
