Thank you! should I expect it to be strong on nights 1 and 2 as well? I assume you mean 24 hours after they are done-done. The total area is 250sf, and they have 3 days scheduled to do it.

3 days for 250 square feet is plenty of time for a low VOC water base finish to dry properly. If, they try and squeeze it out in one day i would be concerned about drying.

To follow up, in case others search this out - the first day was just installing the new flooring, and there were no odors other than wood (which I like the smell of!) The second day was sanding and putting down one coat of streetshoes NXT. The doorways were sealed with plastic and there was a slight odor. The third day were the final two coats of the NXT, and the plastic was removed, and the odor was stronger but not overwhelming - we were able to open some windows as the weather was nice, too.
