Ok… heres what I came up with if I take back 6” in WIC width:

Closet is 81.5” long and 68” wide with opening at 68”

One side do PAX 22.75“ deep and 59” long (leaves 22.5” on end) - for double hanging

The other side do PAX 13.75” deep and 59” long (leaves 22.5”on end) - for shoes

This leaves a walkway of 31”and 22.5” on the end

So, put 29.5” wide frame on the end that is 22.75” deep for drawers/shelves and double hanging

It will cover just the ends of the last frame by .25 inches

If I understand correctly, you'll have empty corners on each side of the unit on the back wall? You have about 148" of storage.

My primary closet is almost exactly the same size as yours, but I put double hanging along the whole back wall, 50" hanging + shelves on the left, and 50" shelves/drawers on the right, for a total of 162" of storage.

These photos are in progress - I later added drawers on the right side.

Are these organization units Ikea, or something else? Can you share your exact closet measurements? particularly interested in width. If you have updated pics with the drawers, I’d love to see them!

I used Dakota Closets from Menards (a regional big box store in the Midwest). I had used them in the closets in our previous house, and loved them - they are easy to assemble, sturdy, and provide a lot of flexibility.

My closet is 71" wide; the unit along the back is 62.5" wide. The 8.5" at one end is a perfect spot for the ironing board. Mine is longer than yours, but the unit on the right side is 79" from the back wall, so pretty close.

We have a chest of drawers in the bedroom, but it was inconvenient to go to the bedroom for socks and underwear, then the closet for everything else, so I added the drawers to the closet. Now the chest of drawers is used for sweaters and winter attire (wool socks and long underwear).

For reference, this is what it looked like in the listing photos. I despise wire shelves.
