You didn't show a sample of the blue tile you're considering, but with a fairly dramatic black and white floor I would just go with a white shower. If you want a blue shower look for a blue and white floor tile. It's easy to overpower a small bathroom with too much pattern.

I love the combination you’ve got going there but keep the blue in the shower only. It’s a small battle and that vanity comes w a small backsplash so I feel like tile would be overkill.

Play off that vanity and use pops of black in hardware and lights like your inspo photo shows.
You are on the right track, it has personality and class if you don’t overdo it.

IMO dramatic is a lovely idea but needs to be done right. I find batrooms are expensive to do and so I tend to keep them simple . I like 12 x24 porcelain tile on both bathroom floors and shower walls if an acent tile is wanted I think a atrip off center in the shower is great and I like using the same accent tile for backsplash . This keeps the bathroom from being too busy and it keeps its looks much longer since chaning small things can then have a nice fresh look. So I would use those blue tile for sure as I mentioned as an accent IMO the fewer gorut lines in a bathroom the better both on the floor and the shower walls.

It's easy to use too much pattern especially in a small room. It can be dizzing. The blue tile is lovely. To make the roomlook lux and inviting bonsider a floor a color found in your blue tile. Think high end spas. Repeat one color/pattern for peace and calm. The black and white tiile is very busy. I'd avoid it in a small room. I wouldn't tile the wall behind your vanity, just match the blue and paint it. Your focal point would be the shower. The rest of the room should compliment and blend with it. Good Luck! I'd use the same color hardware throughout the room.

I was thinking balancing the busy black and white floors with the cool soothing blue tile ..im not a fan of too matchy matchy but i agree to just do the shower now and paint the wall behind vanity plain light color and maych the hardware which im thinking black

Its your bathroom, follow your heart!! I’m so happy the all white & grey bathrooms trend is dying, who wants their home to look like a quick flip? I love the blue tile and I agree with the other comment to keep it in the shower for a focal point. Would love to see a photo when it’s finished :)

It's your space and you are not concerned about re-sale now. The blue tile with the black and white floor is awesome (and can also be timeless). So now we are going to say it: there has been a "trend" toward bland and boring and off the shelf decorating for the past few decades. Grey, thank goodness will not dominate. "Just one star," will have a place for the minimalists. Color and texture and personal expression will make many people happy. There is a shift in mentality happening in the design world. We see it. People are realizing their home is suppose to be a place of comfort, happiness, and personal expression. Do what makes you happy! Zen? Eclectic? Artistic expression? Texture and color? There is so much beyond the just one star and the retail showroom models. Check out the FB group "Maximalist Design & Decor" for the other end of the spectrum. Not saying that is for everyone, but remember the comments you will get here will often err on the "safe side".
