I would go for very modern looking landscaping--straight lines, upright grasses, etc.

But I'd definitely also want carefully chosen trees so the house doesn't bake in the sun.

If you really care about the exterior appearance and have a healthy budget I would engage an architect for a complete redesign. Did previous owners brick up the front door? The windows on the lower floor are too small and the bay window on the second floor is out of character. Everything can be fixed given enough money, but this needs a lot of help. The other side with the garage looks fine. The deck helps it. It looks like a great location may be a huge plus for this house, so you'll have to weigh all the pros and cons and decide how much you want to put into changing the exterior.

Where is the front door?

Exactly!

The shutters don't go with the siding. I'd paint them navy. Then, I'd get some shrubs for the side of the house in pic #2 and some trees for the lawn in pic #1.

Looks like there probably was a front door and previous owners have removed it and bricked the opening. I would want that front door back. It looks very odd without it.

I agree with kandrewspa … it needs a complete redesign which will cost lots of $. It all depends upon how much you want to or can spend.

IMO every home needs a front door so start here I hate tha bumped out window it does not fit with a modern exterior and make s the front look odd. I think I have to agree there is some serious work needed to fix this . For me the brick wall is where the front door belongs and remove the bay window and add a nice portico there in the style you are hoping for for the exterior. If you want help here you need to share a budget, and your style.
