Apps for Staging Furniture

Hi Friends,

Tech Talk!

I spent the weekend so far looking for Apps to help me try out and stage indoor furniture. There’s a whole new generation of AI tech doing this but for smaller products and accessories, but not finding furniture. PhotoRoom is as close as it gets with its backgrounds feature but the AI algorithm thinks my table is a toy and so, drops it onto a window ledge! Or places these cute end tables into a pretty nasty living room (see photo)

I’d like to be able to see how specific products I’m about to buy look in different room settings (contemporary, coastal etc), ie a dresser or end tables in a living room. Not rendered backgrounds, actual rooms.

With all the staging apps out there, has anyone found a high quality tool that allows me to drop in furniture? I’m a Mac/Apple user.

I use Pages on my iphone by layering photos and removing the background ( instant alpha older phones) on the top pictures to expose the features of the room. Not perfect but easy and free. I added this furniture and rug into another posters room. You can flip the images as well.

Thanks v much! I’m looking for something a bit more slick and less rendered as I’d like to use photos of real furniture products . I’m playing around with Homestyler at the moment. Have you tried any specific design apps yet?

Maybe explain a bit more about what you are wanting this for. The pic you posted is a horrible example of poor design for sure.Are you an art dealer ? All I see on your page is art .

No. I’m a furniture restorer and refinisher . Just moved country recently and trying to envision my pieces in our new house which is being built right now. Clients have often said they’d love to get an idea of what a finished piece would look like in their own homes so I guess I have a personal and professional interest in how tech can help me.
