Redbuds don't grow in my far north region, but that's not the point, the tree shape certainly is not very inspiring, I'd pass on it if being my choice.

i also bought small.. or.. no bigger than i could fit int eh vehicle.. of course int eh day.. i had a pick up with a full bed.. lol ..

regardless.. this wouldnt even fit in it.. so i would pass..

the bend wont be anything.. when the trunk so twice as wide.. or 6 inches wide.. etc ...

Yeah I opted out of this tree. It’s been a hard search for smaller redbuds in containers. I’ve mainly come across the straight species or some of the weeping in containers. I was hoping for a white, Tennessee pink or Appalachian red. May have found a Appalachian red in a container:

I bought several Cercis varieties from Conifer Kingdom and Forest Farm last fall and they are all doing marvelously.

I get that shipping costs, but if you are anything like me- when I find a variety that I want that is the variety that I want and nothing else will do. IMO they are better grown than big box store trees and you have a better chance of the label actually being correct. The selection is a bit sparse this late in the spring, though- fall is better anyway IMO.

I have not considered that. I will check them out. I was concerned about getting the wrong tree if I missed seeing it in bloom. I have space for 2 more trees in my yard. I recently called 50 or so places looking for a particular black gum and finally found it ! So yes I understand having your mind made up and not budging. It’s a blessing and a curse lol
