I agree C when the time comes but I also believe it is always a good idea to live in a house for 3-6 months before doing any major changes. To me the tile is not horrible .

Because the curved portion of your staircase is in the living room and overlaps the flooring there, I would continue the living room’s flooring direction into your entrance hall. The cased openings to your back room and side room can have transitions installed where the direction of your flooring changes. If you were to keep some kind of tile in your entrance, I would replace yours with square black slate, set on the diagonal.

The floor is fine for now. Don't tackle the floor without updating the staircase and that's going to cost $$ so living there for a year before you decide is prudent.

Your floor joist will determine the direction of your flooring.
