Planning on taking out the old tub. Contractor said it's a good idea to remove items from the walls as

the reverberations travel throughout the house. Which got me wondering what else would be effected? Does anyone who had this done have stories to tell ? Walls are over 1/2 inch drywall with a plaster skim coat if that matters.
