I think you’re going to need good primer & / or many coats to cover what looks like brick red color. My thought is do the primer first & tint it that lightest color in flooring which seems a warm color to me. I think it’ll be easier to visualize a lighter color then, I’d hold off on painting the door dark until walls are done & see how you like the result.- especially since the woods in room are darker. Is there a window in this room? If, after walls are lighter, you still want the pop of drama in color, the rug could be changed to a brighter fun color.

I would keep something very similar to what you have. Laundry rooms, should be bright, and cheerful, and fun. What you have looks nice. I like the idea of salmon or coral too. The trim, may look whiter, if your bulbs are all daylight type led light bulbs, in a 3500 or 4000 range.

I love Urban Bronze color.

One of shades for Urban Bronze SW is Worldly Gray SW (the lightest one) I would go with it.

or with coordinating colors Ivoire or Shoji White.

*I* would experiment and paint one coat of SW accessible beige over this bold color. Wait a few days and see what you end up with. It might be a hint of shimmery red.

The idea is to have a custom colour, not to test a final colour.

In my experience, one coat of paint wont cover well enough to give you a good reading on the color. I like the idea listed above to tint a primer and check the results out. In my world, I always seem to need a primer to cover the past paint anyway.
