You could go a steam punk direction if you like the look. It would work with your choices, be fun, and be reversible for resale.

I'd put some color on some of the walls as well as colorful towels. Go with real color, like jewel tones or pastels--not gray or off white.

Who will be using the room and how often? That should drive some choices.

I like the idea of pastels for wall color. I used SW Pink Shadow in my vintage black and white bathroom.

This bathroom is not far from rec room, laundry and an office. Plus, the the other side is a workout room. It’s mostly me and my SO. Guests might use it if they're downstairs.

I am definitely staying away from grays and off-white, I like the idea of jewel tones and the sw pink. Ive been looking at storage but stumped on what the storage should look should be. Steam punk is a very interesting idea.
