It is indeed a very pretty piece of furniture.

Personally I wouldn't get it because I don't think it is particularly functional.

Even though I mostly live in a digital world, I need a desk that has storage for a few files; storage for paper; a place to hide the printer and a good space for a keyboard and computer plus external hard drive for constant back up.

Apparently I have to meet the lady selling it at some storage unit which is less than ideal.

Maybe if she thinks I want to go to the trouble of arranging a meeting at a storage unit i am anxious to buy it full price?

Hi Michael, I have it at my storage unit. It is called security storage off hopper. They are open till 7pm.

Not necessarily, if she's keeping it in a storage unit I wouldn't expect her to haul it back to her house so a potential buyer could look at it and then maybe change his/her mind and not purchase it at all. And then it would have to be schlepped back to the storage unit, all for nothing.

I saw the desk. Got a chance to measure it because the ad didn't include measurements. It's a nice looking desk. I don't think it's all that old. Don't even think it is 1930's vintage. I offered $100. She turned it down. She had wanted $150. Her husband was there but he said nothing. So it will stay in the storage unit.

It's in N California btw if anyone else wants it. 60 miles north of SF. I'd give the seller's contact info to anyone that asks.

No, it is not that old, IMO. Going with Hepplewhite style...1940's? Mahogany? I like it. Think it is worth refinishing.

Even at $150.00 I would buy it....IF, it works with your decor.

It's not really meant to go against a wall because it is "double sided." I didn't even understand that from the seller's description until I saw it in person. It has 3 drawers that open. On the other side it looks like it has the same 3 drawers. But they are just drawer faces that do not open. Never saw a desk like that before. Must be for a business. You sit on the side with the drawers that open, and your customer sits on the other side with the fake drawers.
