Kitchen sink sizing question

Hello everyone! I am so confused about how to determine the minimum and maximum size for my sink! We ordered a 48" sink base - I was planning to undermount a sink with granite counters. What are the minimum and maximum size I can put into that sink base (not depth or front to back of counter).
