Need advice on back porch railings
We don't have a huge back porch, but we would love some creative design input/ideas for railings. Any suggestions? thanks

3 years agoI would do seating instead of railings. You will be able to sit more folks than with chairs.
Easy to do if you are handy.
Home Depot again.

3 years agolast modified: 3 years agowhat if you added a tapered step all the way around? Also looks like there is a bit of step down from the door? you might need a step down to the ground as it is, so that might help ? Then use large planters to create a "fence", this way you could also have several ways to access it. or even make it larger.
otherwise I fully agree with the cable idea Lyn posted below.

@RL Relocation LLC - we plan to add a step in the center - but a tapered step might be something to consider as well.
