What exterior color palette (sherwin williams) would you repaint this house? The brick and red/brown roof are remaining the same.

How do you feel about the house is the question ? What would make you happy …. To me, at first glance I would paint the shutters white , the door as well and then look again . You could use some beautiful flowering shrubs and perhaps a tree around the house to upgrade your garden … ( I personally would like to see white flowering bushes all around the front …)

    Navy? Black?

One of the designers that often post here has a great example of brick with green….it looks great. (I’m sure she’ll pop up.)

Can you post another picture more straight on?

Also-you have a very pretty well-maintained appearing home. What jumps out at me is a row of the same exact shrub. i am not a designer or landscaper- If looking to enhance curb appeal, maybe consider replacing a few of them for more variety.

    A gray/green would be nice.

If you do want dramatic, I think this is the same house Molly shows … the same architectual firm, anyway:

It is striking. Note, though, that you have white windows, and that will make a difference.

My preference would be a great griege color that would marry the colors in your beautiful brick, have a fresh look, and not be too stark.

I’m about to be out of town for the day, will post some examples later if that idea interests you.

ETA: That green house that gets posted here several times a day … it is lovely, but the color is a custom mix that will go to the grave with the designer and homeowners. They won’t share it. Posters have come up with similar ones, but I can’t remember what. Maybe they’ll see this.

That house should just be pinned to the top of this board. I’ve never in my decades here (Gardenweb, then Houzz) seen a house posted so often. I wonder if the homeowners know how popular their house is. 😄

    Front of it:

Sherwin Williams light French gray and SW French gray. The neighbor painted her red brick house blue, then paid them to paint the whole house French gray(the darker color).

This gray does not end up looking blue or purple in the sunlight.

    The gutters are bronze.

Taupe on the siding and shutters charcoal or black. The white windows are going to fight a color that is too dark. The grids in the windows aren't appropriate for the style of your house. They should be removed, or they should be divided lights as you usually see on Colonials.

Jilly’s right about the green. It is a custom color and posted here constantly. It does look good with certain brick. Some shades I’ve seen that at least appear similar are these from Ben Moore.

Make sure to pressure wash the brick first before picking color if it has not been cleaned in a while.
