Colored concrete fades, no matter the color. Ask your contractor for jobs he has done 1-5 years ago, using colored concrete and go see them in person.
I, and several of my neighbors, had colored concrete put in and they all faded. We all used a different contractor.

I'm actually relieved to hear that. I'm worried the color will be too dark, but I strongly dislike the look of uncolored concrete. Have you noticed a lot of discoloration over time?

Oh yes. Actually the discoloration happened in less than 2 years. The entire patio faded except the areas that were not exposed to the sun, which was under the eaves, approximately a foot, give or take. Our backyard faced south.
We lived there almost 10 years but have since sold it.

Did the discoloration look odd? I am doing a large lot with walkways, a driveway and 2 porches. It is an owner occupied corner duplex. and one side will get a lot of sun (except the porches) and part of the other side will be in the shade most of the day.
