Start with new bedding I guess . What exactly do you want to do to update. I see some clutter in the corner and on the floor so maybe deal with that first

You could paint the walls, add window treatments, get new bedding, better lighting, new pillows, some plants, and a smaller piece of artwork for over the bed. Please take a moment to look at some of our bedroom designs for more ideas:

I love the blue painting but I would put it on the wall to the left of the bed. Your Dreamcatcher over the bed and the only thing on that wall.

Pick the lightest brightest blue from the painting and use that for the walls.

Then get blue decor and bedding, matching table lamps on the nightstands, etc. You will have the walls and painting colors to work with.

Add a touch of the purple in a bright bed pillow for instance. Paint the headboard and makeup table.

Hang a coordinated gallery wall to the left of the mirror and the angled wall.

Replace the roller shade the same but in your colors or with Roman Shades inside mount.

The desk is nice.

You could use some nicer storage pieces. Can you get a makeup table/dresser combo piece with drawers on each side?

Invest in a larger piece of furniture that will give you more storage to replace the several smaller pieces that make it feel cluttered.

I don't know the measurements of your room but I think you need a headboard that fills the space like this Ikea one. Or something like it.
