Help w/bathroom layout please

I'd really like to reconfigure the layout of the master bath somehow, don't love how the shower is the 1st thing you see when walking into bathroom especially if door isn't closed. Wanted vanity as L shape maybe or vanity along where shower/bath is with window between 2 mirros because it's facing beautiful forested yard but then no scenarios seem better - also should add I want to take left window out bc it's facing neighbors deck so I only want windows along back wall. Husband doesn't really want toilet enclosed because he's a big guy and says there too claustrophobic, so we designed it with a pony wall. Would still like toilet on the left end so its hidden and a nicer view walking into bath to feel more open. Don't care if I take out linen closet bc might do a tall cabinet matching the vanity. Please please send some ideas?!

I agree -- showers can be the real star in a bathroom, a chance to use unique and special tile, etc.

This is almost the same as my master bath except my shower door can swing inside as well and my closet is inside the bathroom door, and I love this layout! why do you want to change?

Your bathroom is awesome and well set up.

    - The window over the tub lets in the view and the (I'm assuming) mirror(s) over vanity reflect the view

    - The window in the toilet area is awesome, I wish I had one, great to quickly get rid of smells and yes "de-claustriphobia" the space. If you dont like the view put up a blind you can just open a little at the bottom for air when you open the window.

    - It sounds like your only complaint is looking at the shower when you 1st walk in the bathroom. Put up a shower curtain you love to look at. Art glass, shower door stickers, glass panel screens etc... Problem solved for a lot less than a 50-75K bathroom remodel.

IMO you're about to take a really great layout and screw it up. If you don't like the appearance of the shower, (and we don't know why that might be objectionable) then refine the appearance of the shower. Replace cabinets with floating units and upscale the bathroom to a spa.

The only thing I would consider is having one sink in the vanity. I don't know of any situations where the husband has not been banished to an alternate bathroom if there is not a private WC.

So this is gonna be a brand new construction and I made the entire house plan myself, had an architect put it together, we're doing a self build..I kept looking at it recently and the reason I wanted it flipped somehow is just so that it can look more open walking in to the bathroom and in case door wouldn't be closed to bath u don't see someone directly in shower. Yes I know it can be the star of bath and it will be very nicely designed i just now wish I would've done something where there was a view outside because it's so pretty. I can still change it even on site but just not sure if it could be improved, because I'd obviously also not want the toilet there. I could also just flip the vanity side w the shower bath side but then no window above tub. I even thought I could do a corner tub but I can't figure out a perfect placement..

Thanks!, since it's a new build we can literally do anything we want to the layout. I saw this picture online and fell in love with the window between mirrors so I was trying to see if I could do something with the vanity on back wall...I like the sketch u made but just worried the space to toilet is a bit tight

It is a spatial relationship conceptual sketch; details to be worked out by others with more knowledge of the project's current design and factors that got it to this point.
