I do love the hosta this time of the year before the various bugs take bites out of it!

Looking good Brad. I want to try hostas here but a bit afraid to spend the $$'s and have the deer and rabbits chew them down. Your hostas look very good.

Nice start Brad! My hosta are unfurling and the rabbits are really busy this season munching. Thank goodness they leave the daylilies alone.

Before the passing of my Avatar cat "Yardley" my garden was bunny free. Now they run around as if they owned the place. A good cat is hard to replace. Thank your neighbors -lol.........Love the Hostas. A nice combination of colors in your border. The really dark Iris is a Dutch Iris I'm thinking. I planted about 25 of the dark blue last fall, but they came up different colors and most looked ratty. I blame the quality on the bulbs and the supplier who sent them (which was a well known company)..............Maryl

There was a rare bunny in my yard last week, but I was dogsitting and she was delighted to give bunny a chase. Have not seen it since. Never had any problems with my hosta, at least not til late July when the sun gets the ones in more sun. I do have 3 cats, one is a ferocious hunter, the other 2 are good when something dares them.

I don't have scapes on Carmen Renee, but I do on Westbourne Seafoam Candy and Rose F. Kennedy. Both late or mid lates. I remember Seafoam Candy had a couple early buds last year, but I assumed it was confused since it was new. No explantation for Rose. I have several scapes on mid season bloomers, but my very earlies seem to be just a bit late.

I had to laugh out loud Nancy about the 2 cats that were hunters only if something dared them. One of ours was that way, and looked as surprised as we did when he caught a mouse in the garage one time..................Maryl
