I'd get some broadleaved evergreens: Mt. Laurel, Rhodos, Azaleas. I'd underplant with shade-loving natives: Tiarella, Bugbane, woodland phlox, asters. Ferns are great, too.

id paint the wood to match the siding.. or get more siding if possible ...

sigrid lists a lot of plants for a very small area.. understand its a lists options.. pick one or two at most ....

the big plant you need for the proper view.. needs to be planted outside the walkway.. so form the roadway.. the space is filled..

and for your pleasure.. a collection of perennials inside the walkway would be nice.. perhaps a trellis or two.. to grow some clematis up the walls ..

i would also sweep a nice bed out to the left corner of the house... not square or rectangular... perhaps another tall shrubs outside the corner...and some smaller perens.. due to the low window...
