How do you reach to refill the feeders? Are they lowerable?

I take them down with a 8' step ladder. They all have a solar light that's easy to take off for filling. They light up at night. I have to refill them almost every day. More often than not, there's at least one bird feeding. And the squirrels eat the leftovers off the ground.

So what did you make the outer wider tube from? And how did you attach it to the inner pole?

It's made of 7" duct. The shiny metal tubing you have in your home for heating and AC. I put 4 long nails into the wood. One on each side. It rests on the nails.

I saw a squirrel on the feeder this morning. Not sure how it got up there. I think it either climbed inside the tube or it jumped from the fence. I have a counter measure for both.
