Mirage hardwood, durability?

Anyone have real-life feedback for Mirage hardwood flooring? I've read lots of good reviews by installers and dealers, but haven't found much from people who currently have Mirage floors in their homes.

I'm interested in how the finish holds up to real life use - kids and toys, dogs, dirt, etc.

I live in the Seattle area but have AC, so temp and humidity swings aren't a huge concern. I know all wood scratches and dents, I just want to avoid installing a product that will look damaged (vs some lived-in character) in a year or two. Thoughts?

I'm considering:

  • 3 1/4" solid red oak (natural elemental smooth)
  • 5" Trubalance engineered red oak (natural exclusive smooth)
