I have Mirage engineered wood floors.

Mine are Red Oak Select and Better in a "natural" light finish, I have a LOT of white oak wood in my home and so I went with Red Oak. I didn't want the floors to be a strong design element as I have area rugs and other strong design elements. The Select and Better has a quieter grain and the installers did a really good job of mixing the planks around so that the end result is aesthetically pleasing

The wood is everywhere including the kitchen area except for the bathrooms which have marble tile.

I moved back in 2018 and so they have been in use for almost 5 years. They still look very good. If the sunlight is streaming the right way and I squint and look I can see where there might be some minor "rubs" but truly nothing noticeable. Of course light wood finishes are more forgiving than dark so I am basing it on my natural oak

When I was looking for engineered flooring I thought the Mirage line was of good quality - it is Canadian and theoretically is a green company. It also has a decent wear layer and the finish seems to be very durable. I once inadvertently left something on the counter that leaked onto the floor overnight and when I wiped off the accumulated water, the finish was intact and there was no water damage - of course this was not a flood situation but I think it does indicate that the finish is durable for ordinary wear and tear.

Mirage has one of the best quality finishes in the industry. I've installed dozens of jobs and never had a wear complaint.
