I love that shower tile. What color is your vanity and bathroom floor? I would keep the shower floor simple but pull in colors from the rest of the room. Or if you're going for a really modern look, black would be a nice offset to that tile.

Is tha shower wall tile textured or just looks like it is? I usually like bathroom floors and shower wall to be the same 12 x24 tile but if that wall tile is texturd irt is IMO wrong for shower walls so I need that answer first.

I didn’t intend to confuse you! I just think that tile is so dramatic that a deep color would even make it more fabulous. I was envisioning dark hexagon on the shower floor with a dark grout…. 😊

Ooh, dark does sound really great for a modern look @RedRyder! And dark grout is smart not only for cleaning, but also for keeping the look streamlined (not drawing too much attention since your wall tile is so cool). Your advice on the 2" hexagon is perfection! And having DIYed most of our tile work, I agree with @Lyn Nielson about using a small scale to help with slope.

Is this the only thing selected so far? What is your main floor, you can use the matching mosaic as the shower floor. How about the side shower walls? Start thinking of the space as a whole instead of separate parts.

Small scale tile on the floor also helps you to have traction and not fall.

I also like the last inspiration photo. The plain flat white tiles on the other three walls look just right. They will make the one accent wall with the wavy tiles that much more interesting.

I got a lot of criticism for having a pebble tile with a wall tile similar to yours. Here is a picture so you can see for yourself. I'm sure the people who criticized my choice would like yours better. Not everyone hated my choice.

You said that’s only on one wall so what is on the other walls? What will your curb be? How will the tiles be finished on the ends (probably Schluter but good to pick all that out now)

My sister is using that tile in the shower. She has a slate look rectangular porcelain tile chosen for the rest. For shower floor I would use ‘penny’ tile in white . No need for accent color there. The WAVES say it all.
