Pool space help

Looking for a way to utilize the side of the house/flowerbed for pool towels and pool storage. Would love to make it have a fun tropical vibe. Will be moving the plants and everything for a clean slate. I also love string lights but not sure how they would look just going across the gable on the side of the garage...? we have to keep the space between the house and pool open. Help!
